I’ve built a career helping families move forward—because I’ve had to do the same, repeatedly.
I began selling homes back in 1992, and from the beginning, I loved it. I became a top producer and thrived on helping families reach their real estate goals. At the time, my husband’s job provided for our family, which gave me the freedom to jump into real estate full-time.

I met my husband, Amos, at a labor union. After our very first date, I came home and told my mom, “I’m going to marry him.” And I did. He’s been one of the most pivotal people in my life ever since. We had two sons—Amos and Samuel—and bought a house in Deer Park, TX. Life was good, and I was growing my real estate career.
Everything changed when Amos began struggling at work. At first, we didn’t understand what was happening. Tasks that seemed routine suddenly became difficult. We saw doctor after doctor, desperately searching for answers. When he was finally diagnosed with dementia at 44, our sons were just 9 and 11, we were devastated.
As his condition worsened, Amos could no longer work. We moved to Lumberton to be closer to family, and I stepped into the role of sole provider. I continued working in real estate while also caring for my husband and raising our boys, who were teenagers at the time. I was, in many ways, a single mother. Real estate became my lifeline—it gave me purpose, stability, and a reason to keep going.

When my father became ill, we moved again, this time to Mount Bellevue, so I could help my mother care for him. Starting over in a new city, with no connections and so much on my shoulders, felt overwhelming, if not impossible.
Luckily, help came my way. A British company, New Home Sales, opened in town and hired me as a salesperson. It was a gift being provided full benefits for my family. I still got to do what I love—sell homes—but with the support and stability of working for a company. I worked and continued caring for Amos as we slowly began saying goodbye. Even as his health declined, he told me every day that he loved me. He was the love of my life.

After 32 years of marriage, Amos passed away and I poured myself even deeper into my community. I ran for city council—and won! Serving in local government allowed me to stay involved with our excellent school district, support teachers, and help make decisions about budgets, roads, permits, and public projects. I’m proud of the impact we had.
Eventually, I returned to running my own real estate business, and it’s been a joy to help families move forward into new homes and new beginnings. Real estate has also allowed me to stay present for my grandchildren. I have three granddaughters and three grandsons—six of the smartest, best-looking kids in the world, if you ask me. Driving them around, cheering them on, and staying involved in their lives is one of my greatest blessings.
Looking back, I’ve faced more than my fair share of challenges—but through it all, real estate has been a steady thread, grounding me and giving me purpose. I’m proud of the life I’ve built, and I’m honored to help others do the same.
Helping someone buy or sell a home is a big responsibility—one I take seriously. I strive to educate my clients the way I wish I had been when I bought my first home. I provide tools like a budgeting spreadsheet to help them understand costs clearly and make confident decisions, especially first-time buyers. I also love working with veterans and active-duty military personnel, helping them take full advantage of their VA benefits. I meet clients where they are and adapt to their needs, connecting them with trusted lenders or down payment assistance programs. Having lived in this area for years, I’ve built a strong network of reliable professionals, and I only refer clients to people I know and will take excellent care of them. Whether you’re buying your first home, relocating, a veteran family or investing in commercial or residential property, you can count on me for honest advice, personalized support, and high standards. I take pride in delivering exceptional service and guiding every client with integrity, care, and a deep commitment to their success.
Sincerely,
